About Jonathan B. Osler, PLLC
Jon Osler counsels individuals and families on matters regarding the preservation, management, and transfer of wealth. Jon’s practice involves all aspects of the estate planning process, including the designing, preparation, and administration of trusts, wills, and related ancillary documents. Additionally, Jon assists business owners with day-to-day issues as well as long-term business succession planning. Jon works closely with clients to identify their unique personal and financial goals, along the way forging relationships built on trust, mutual respect, and openness. Jon’s hands-on approach to constructing personalized estate planning solutions ensures that each plan is tailor-made to suit the requirements of the client. That said, no matter the size of the estate or the complexity of the planning involved, Jon’s principal concern is that his clients are perfectly satisfied with their estate plans—and that they have gained true peace of mind as a result.
Jon has been a trusts and estates law practitioner since his graduation from law school. He hails from Kentucky and Georgia, moving to Virginia to attend the University of Virginia (BA in Foreign Affairs) and the College of William & Mary (JD). After law school, Jon joined Virginia’s largest trusts and estates law firm, Carrell Blanton Ferris. There, he developed unique estate plans for his clients that included addressing estate, tax, real property, corporate, and partnership issues. Additionally, the firm entrusted Jon with managing its Fredericksburg office. Intrigued with the novel legal estate planning issues associated with digital assets, Jon left the firm to become Chief Executive Officer of Trustor, a start-up technology company based in New Mexico. While an interesting challenge, Jon found that he missed the client contact of his legal practice and the charms of Fredericksburg. In addition to practicing law, Jon enjoys whitewater kayaking, mountain biking, golf, and working on his slightly rusty and very cantankerous 1980 Jeep CJ5. His website is at https://oslerlaw.com.
